Candidates Spar in 2012 Debate

Well once again it's time for that great American pastime and pasionate sport we call the Presidential Campaign. As in all contests filled with emotion, politics, issues, and beguiling temptation, this years start of the political season is no exception, except for one diference. The newly emerging Progressive Conservative Party is reaching out to find younger and younger candidates to fill our Nation's highest election office.

Recently the second in a series of satirical debates was held on julianscomedy stop.tv hosted by the WONG News Network and moderated by veteran newscaster and current events commentator Lula, well known for her outspoken views but ability to remain impartial in the electoral process. In well moderated fashion, Lula presented this year's candidates for the Progressive Conservation Party nomination with well thought out questions that outline the candidates positions on the state of the economy and America's world standing.

Candidate Rose took the lead with opening statements that pointed out her opponent Julia's apparant lack of experience on the world stage. "She can't even spell experience" Rose declared in her typically emotional rhetoric. Lula maintained order declaring "time's up" at the proper moment, cutting short further criticism of her opponent by Rose.

When Julia took her turn at opening statements she implored voters to use common sense and exhibiting charm and sophistication beyond her years, begged of the electorate "Vote for me!" Her performance on stage could not be ignored and it is no wonder she has been nicknamed "America's Sweetheart Candidate". One can only imagine how her unpretentious manner might disarm President Barak Obama in debate format should she win her Party's nomination later this year.

Addressing current events, Lula asked the candidates to each address this nation's current fiscal crisis and to explain their varient approaches to solving the Country's economics dificulties should either of them be elected President in November, 2012. Rose expressed the need for personal sacrifice when she publically admitted for the first time "I gave up my allowance. What more can I do?". It was a poignant moment for the candidate who just last year was forced to move when her family defaulted on their mortgage due to the failing economy and were told by their bank to "Hit the road jack, and don't you come back no more, no more."



Rose is considered the front runner by many political analysts.



Rose then took command of the political platform, declaring emphatically the solution to America's sluggish failing economy, slow growth, high unemployment and dismal fiscal forecast by saying with fist clenched "We need more money!" The two veteran campaigners then faced each other to directly confront their opponent with their own views of how to get the economy back on track.

"Give me some money!" Julia demanded. Rose shrugged "I don't have any money" and the debate continued. At one memorable point in the discussion of world affairs, Rose denied breaking with China, suggesting "Julia did it." The embarassed Julia later appoligized. Lula maintained discipline and order throughout the dabate.

In its conclusion both of the Party candidates were asked to give closing statements to persuade voters that their stand on the issues best reflected the direction America needs to turn to. Rose repeated her belief that she would make a better President, explaining point blank that her opponent Julia lacks the needed experience. "She is only three years old" Rose declared.

For her part, Julia once again encouraged voters to "Vote foe me." Future debates focusing on domestic policy and social issues are promised, but for now Lula signed off, reminding voters to stay tuned for the upcoming WONG Weather. Once again Presidential Politics has reached a new level. The next 12 months should prove intersting for everyone who follows this most American of sports- the election process.
